Reflections for the Week
This morning, I was reminded of God’s goodness to me in the person of my mother. One interesting fact about me is that I was adopted when I was 2 years old, and never knew my birth mother as a young girl growing up. As I grew older, even more so following the death of my adopted mother at the age of 12, I grew increasingly more interested in learning about and possibly getting to meet my birth mother. As the Lord would have it, with the assistance of a State Agency, an opportunity opened up for me to meet my mother (what an exciting and nerve-wrecking day that was :-). In a future post, I’ll share more about this AMAZING day, and how our relationship has grown since that time, but I am very happy to say that the woman I met that day, about 12 years ago, has become one of my very best friends, and is a precious and very important part of my life today. As I was remembering all that the Lord has done with our relationship, I am extremely grateful, and want to express my thanks to Him this morning. FATHER, YOU ARE GOOD!
